To oversee, organize, and implement all aspects of the Heroin and Opioid Policy Development Grant Funded Assignment

DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversees comprehensive curriculum program and curriculum review of all PreK - 12th grade substance abuse prevention curriculum.
Coordinates a team of teachers to review evidence-based substance abuse prevention curriculum and develop recommendations to General Curriculum Review Committee for additions to current curriculum.
Serves as liaison to the Office of Physical Education and Health for the curriculum review committee.
Manages the program budget in collaboration with the Coordinator of Grants, Business and Community Partnerships, and the Grants Accountant.
Oversees presentation of recommendations to the General Curriculum Committee.
Develops and coordinates June 2019 voluntary training on new curriculum for all health and physical education teachers.
Performs other work-related duties as assigned.

SALARY
|
$34 per hour - 10 hours per week
|
REQUIREMENTS
|
Must be a tenured teacher within Harford County Public Schools.
Must hold an Advanced Professional Certificate.
CPR and First-Aid certification is preferred.
Able to work flexible hours that will include evening meetings, events, and/or work sessions as needed.
Demonstrated experience in developing and teaching health education programs.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with multiple project partners.
Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to prioritize work.
Possess characteristics of an effective teacher.
Demonstrated planning, organizational, and leadership skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
